Helping Students with ADHD tackle their Math Homework
To be effective helpers to struggling students we must understand WHY the math homework is difficult. By asking curious questions in a calm manner we can have a meaningful conversation with the student. Collaborate with the ADHD student and tell them you want to find the source of the disconnect.
Here is a two-page worksheet to give you some ideas of questions to ask. There is also space for you to write notes about what you learned from the student’s answers to your questions.
The first page is blank and the second page is filled is as an example.
